Amino Acids as Elicitors: a Way to Increase Plant Stress-Tolerance

New AG International

Several amino-acids are currently used in U.S. horticulture: gibberelic acids, auxines, cytokinins, etc. , mostly as inhibitors. In the last decade, amino acids biostimulants use increased because of their ability to improve the overall plantís health, including better stress tolerance, reports Gordon Kauffman. The validity of these biostimulants as a positive growth regulator/stress tolerance enhancer has been primarily based on testimonials.
